Journalists Marian Álvarez and Javier Moreno debate some of the factors that help explain why a person can take the lives of their children. Go to download Moreno points out that one of the most difficult abilities to acquire is the one that, apparently, is presented as the simplest: distinguishing people from things. Precisely because it is represented to us as something so easy, we tend to think that we already have the matter resolved, "but it is not that simple, because a good part of our culture and, above all, our language insists on showing us the opposite." The journalist remembers that we use possessives like “my” or “her” to refer to people, as happens when we talk about “my daughters”, “my wife”, “her husband”. Although a linguist could argue that they are simple ways of expressing a relationship, “the truth is that this does not stop them from being possessive, because, in fact, it is the most frequent use.” Thus, "by saying 'my girlfriend' I can imply that I have a series of rights and that can lead to confusion because, in fact, I do not have any.
" In the case of this father who, allegedly, has taken the lives of “his” daughters, it is possible that, precisely, he thought of them as “my” daughters or, more likely, the daughters of “his” wife. It is, Moreno points out, the phenomenon of “objectification”, through which we put the emphasis on who the people are and not on the people themselves: “But when push comes to shove, those who WhatsApp Number List have died are not the ones.” no one's daughters but Olivia and probably Anna. And those are proper names, values in themselves, that is, with the right not to be used as a means to achieve anything else.” Germán López: “It is a gift to be with the great timple references at the Pérez Galdós” Presentation of the show | COLORADO PRODUCTIONS Presentation of the show | COLORADO PRODUCTIONS The musician participates next Sunday, June 20, in the two performances of the show 'Timples021', co-produced by Colorado Producciones and the Auditorio y Teatro Foundation. Go to download Next Sunday, June 20, the Pérez Galdós Theater in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria will host two performances of the musical show Timples2021, co-produced by Colorado Producciones and the Auditorio y Teatro Foundation, in which Benito Cabrera, Domingo Rodríguez 'El Colorao' will participate. , Germán López, Yone Rodríguez and Althay Páez, along with a band made up of about 20 musicians.
Germán López points out that, for the younger generation of timplistas, it is “a gift” to be with “those great references”, which is why he is “very excited and waiting for the day to come.” Project continuity Timple021 aims to continue the project that premiered on December 28, 1999 at the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium, Timples2000, which brought together on the same stage three of the most important musicians that our popular music has produced, Benito Cabrera, Domingo Rodríguez. El Colorao' and José Antonio Ramos. With a renewed cast and new arrangers, this new project will also collect the imprint of three timplistas who saw that first experience from the stalls, when they were barely 14 years old. Tradition and contemporaneity So, 20 years later, Timples021 updates the evolution of the timple with five of the best performers of the instrument, with José Brito, musical director, and Miguel Ramírez, production director, leading a team made up of almost twenty musicians and a repertoire of 15 songs that will demonstrate the evolution of the timple sound in the last two decades. Tradition and contemporaneity go hand in hand again with the timple as a vehicle, a direct witness to the transition of the roots in these first years of the new millennium. The songs, carefully chosen, have been arranged for the occasion by Manuel Bonino, Carlos Vega, Yul Ballesteros and José Brito, respecting the value of popular music with jazzy and contemporary airs.
